10 MICRON GM2000 HPS II CENTAURUS PACKAGE

The 10 Micron GM2000 HPS II Centaurus package includes all the accessories needed to start using your mount. This bundle includes the following items:

The Centaurus II tripod is optimized to the utmost, to bring the ABSOLUTE 10Micron HPS-accuracy straight into the ground – without compromise. Thanks to the mount's absolute HPS-Encoders, now we can also measure that a variation in length of 1/10 of a millimeter (0.0042) in one tripod leg directly equals up to 10 arc-second displacement of the object observed. This also holds true in case one tripod leg is sinking into the ground just by this small amount during an imaging session.

With these encoders you can see what had been not measurable before – and it makes all aspects of an improper telescope set up show up mercilessly. For this reason, the legs of the new tripods are made of ultra hard aircraft aluminum, fastened with over-sized spread-clamps and each tripod tip is equipped with a tiltable, hard, zero play contact plate.

The switching power supply is a very high quality device with full Australian certification. It accepts 110 to 240V AC input, with the output ensuring the proper 24V, 6A (120W) power supply to the GM2000.

The Losmandy dovetail clamping plate 3” allows the use of standard Losmandy slide bar mounted optical tubes; this product is all CNC machined, black anodized aluminium.

The package includes both a 6kg and 12kg counterweight to allow precise balancing of most imaging systems. Machined from stainless steel, 10 Micron counterweights are incredibly resistant to harsh environmental conditions.

Taking care of your GM2000 mount will assure several years of great performance: the professional cases PLB ensure a very high level of protection. These cases are made in Italy with a special resin compound which offers a combination of high elasticity, increased shock absorption, reduced transport weight and resistance against temperature extremes. They also ensure a perfect barrier against dust, humidity, sand and ashes. The internal padding is perfectly shaped to accommodate the instruments. 

The Astromi.ch MGBox V2 is a small, lightweight GPS weather station that provides positional information, barometric pressure, temperature, humidity and dew point information with superb accuracy.
