If you don't own or use a filter wheel, then a filter drawer is a simple way to go. With OSC cameras, the need for a filter wheel to run RGB+L exposures is eliminated, but if you need to remove/reduce the effects of light pollution and Moon-glow, then the use of other filters is a "must". Using a filter drawer is a simple way of accomplishing this, but if you own a variety of filters, such as CLS-style, H-alpha, S-II, O-III, H-beta, then life is much simpler when you have several of these filter holders with your commonly used filters pre-loaded. It also reduces the need to clean the filters, with its attendant issues of eventually damaging the filter/s.
The filter holder is well made, and I have found that filters are easy to **** in/out as the thread is nicely cut to eliminate binding. The holder slips in and out of the drawer without drama, provided you have it the right-way around. I have not detected any light leakage, even with 600sec exposures. The only issue I have is that I also have a V1 filter drawer which uses a V1 filter holder - they are not compatible, so be careful which one you wish to purchase.
