The ZWO M42 male to M48 female 22.5mm extender is useful for connecting the ASI2600MM Pro plus EFW 7 x 36mm to a corrector which requires 55mm of backfocus, when not using the OAG-L. The below image shows this connection procedure:
Note: when connecting the 2600MM Pro to the 7 x 36mm EFW, you must remove the camera's tilt plate and bolt the filter wheel directly to the camera body. Not only does this bring the filters closer to the sensor which is always better, but it gives you extra backfocus space to use this adapter or the OAG-L.
