ZWO ASI715MC [COLOUR] is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The ZWO ASI715MC is a colour planetary camera with a 1/2.8" sensor with tiny 1.45µm pixels and 8.46 million effective pixels. The ASI715MC is ideal for high resolution planetary and lunar imaging with shorter focal length telescopes.
When paired with a telescope with a short focal length of 300mm, an imaging scale of 1 arcsecond per pixel is achievable due to the small pixels. This also makes it possible to more reliably guide with typical 50mm-sized guide scopes.
This latest generation of Sony sensor has photodiodes embedded deeper into the substrate compared to previous sensors, resulting in much higher sensitivity to NIR wavelengths. The peak QE is nearly as high as that in the visible range. Absolute QE is estimated at 80%. This high NIR sensitivity makes it suitable for use with methane filters to reveal cloud structures in Jupiter and Saturn.
The ASI715MC features 256MB of DDR3 memory and fast USB 3.0 connectivity, allowing the camera to reach a full-frame transfer speed of 45.1FPS in 10-bit mode.
