ZWO ASI585MC PRO [COLOUR] is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The ZWO ASI 585MC PRO is a cooled version of the popular ASI585MC planetary camera and features a 4K 8.29Mp Sony back-illuminated CMOS sensor with 91% quantum efficiency. The combination of high sensitivity STARVIS 2 sensor and fast 47FPS framerate make this an incredibly versatile camera at a very attractive price.
The Sony back-illuminated sensor technology improves sensitivity and reduces noise for the best performance. Its small 2.9 micron pixels make it the perfect match for short focal length refractors and astrographs.
The ASI585MC PRO incorporate a 512MB DDR3 memory buffer that improves data transfer reliability. The camera exhibits extremely clean dark frames with zero amp glow, no matter how long the exposure and how high the gain value is.
The ASI585MC Pro has a maximum QE of 91% with excellent NIR sensitivity. The large full-well capacity of 40,000 e- improves the signal-noise ratio and helps reduce clipping of bright stars. Thanks to the two-stage TEC cooling with a ΔT of 35°C below ambient, dark current is very well controlled.
The USB 3.0 Port provides 5Gbps bandwidth and lets the camera run at 47fps at full resolution (10-bit, high speed mode). The USB 2.0 Hub allows to connect 2 USB controlled accessories such as a filter wheel, a guiding camera or an electronic focuser, reducing the amount of cables that run directly from your computer.
Note: All cooled ZWO cameras require an external power supply of 12V at 3-5A with a 2.1×5.5 mm connector (positive tip).
The camera features built-in HCG mode which can effectively reducer read noise at high gain levels whilst maintaining the same high dynamic range of low gain levels. HCG mode is automatically turned on at gain 252. As a result, read noise can be as low as 0.7e- and dynamic range up to 11-bit.
