WILLIAM OPTICS PLEIADES 181 F/5.5 ASTROGRAPH

The William Optics Pleiades 181 is the ultimate imaging refractor for medium format cameras. The new 7-element lens design with three Super ED extra-low dispersion elements to ensure excellent colour correction and a generous 55mm image circle.

With a substantial 181mm aperture, fast f/5.5 focal ratio and 998mm focal length, the Pleiades is ideal for high resolution imaging of many deep sky objects. The seven element, temperature-compensated lens system ensures minimal thermal distortion and a minimum Strehl ratio of 0.96.

Engineered specifically for medium format imaging, the Pleiades 181 can also easily be used with smaller sensors thanks to its included M48, M54 and M68 adapters. Like the other Pleiades telescopes, no additional field flattener is required.

The unique Cosmos Steering Wheel allows for effortless and precise handling, rotating and positioning of the telescope, enhancing both comfort and functional ease during prolonged observing sessions. The robust 3.7" rack & pinion focuser ensures smooth and accurate focusing either by hand or with an optional electronic focuser.

Despite its large aperture, the Pleiades 181 remains relatively portable at 15kg for the OTA only, less than many common mid-sized mounts. With rings, dovetail and saddle handlebar added, the scope is just 18.7kg.
