TOUPTEK G3M 715C PLANETARY CAMERA [COLOUR]

The ToupTek G3M715C Planetary Colour is a 1.25" barrel size planetary camera using the Sony IMX715C CMOS sensor. With a quantum efficiency of >91%, read noise as low as 0.42e- and tiny 1.45µm pixels, the G3M715C is an excellent camera for high resolution lunar and solar imaging with very short focal length telescopes.

The G3M715C's back-illuminated sensor has a large resolution of 8.3 megapixels, QE up to 91% and very good NIR sensitivity, making it possible to use IR-pass filters to cut through the atmosphere and bring out finer details.

When paired with a telescope with a short focal length of 300mm, an imaging scale of 1 arcsecond per pixel is achievable due to the small pixels. This also makes it possible to more reliably guide with typical 50mm-sized guide scopes.

The G3M715C is equipped with USB 3.0 connectivity as well as a traditional ST-4 autoguiding interface. Thanks to the high transmission speed of USB 3, the G3M715C can reach a fast 47FPS at its full 8.3MP resolution. The built-in 512MB DDR3 memory ensures reliability over long sequences of high framerate video capture. Its 1.25" barrel design also makes it straightforward to use with most off-axis guiders (OAG not included).
