TAKAHASHI MEWLON 210 - Complete Assembly is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The Takahashi Mewlon 210 is a Dall-Kirkham reflector designed for planetary imaging and observation. The optical design combines an ellipsoidal primary mirror and spherical secondary mirror, with the surface quality of the optics being extremely accurate at λ/20.
The Mewlon 210 has a native focal length of 2415mm and a focal ratio of f/11.5, making it the ideal instrument for planetary use. The compact design with a tube weight of only 8.1kg makes it easy to transport to locations where the seeing conditions are more favourable. The integrated 7 x 50 finder scope is adjustable and can also be used as a carrying handle.
A 0.8x focal reducer is available (sold separately), transforming the scope into 1961mm f/9.3 for wider views and with an image circle of 30mm. Note: The Mewlon 210 is not designed for deep sky imaging with pinpoint stars across a large sensor, however it excels at planetary and lunar imaging.
