TAKAHASHI FCT-L REDUCER 0.8x
The Takahashi FCT-L Reducer is a triplet 0.8x focal reducer for FCT-114DF, FCT-114DS, FC-100DZ and FC-100DF refractors.
The reducer has an image circle of 44mm, giving well-corrected stars to the edge of a Full-frame field. When paired with the FCT-114DF, relative illumination at the edge of the frame is approximately 92%. With the FCT-114DS, this reduces to 83%, but is easily corrected with flat field calibration.
When paired with the FCT-114D series, the RMS spot diameter is 4.4 μm on axis and 6.6 μm at the edge of a full frame. With the FC-100DZ, the RMS spot diameter is 4.8 μm on axis and 7.2 μm at the edge of a full frame, with 83% illumination. With the FC-100DF, a slight chromatic halo originating from the objective lens remains. Relative illumination is approximately 82% at the edge of a full frame. The RMS spot diameter is 6.6 μm on axis and 9.6 μm at the edge of a full frame.
Requires FCT-L CO Ring 114D for FCT-114DF, FCT-114DS and FC-100DZ, or FCT-L CO Ring 100DF for FC-100DF (both sold separately).
In order to connect the FCT-L to your image train, you will need to purchase the additional TKP00200 M72 x 1 - M48 x 0.75 adapter or TKA00201 M72 x 1 - M54 x 0.75 adapter (both sold separately). These can then be connected to the CO Ring to give a backfocus requirement of 55mm for the image train.
