TAKAHASHI EPSILON 130ED F/3.3 PLUS KIT

The Takahashi Epsilon 130ED PLUS Kit pairs the Epsilon 130ED OTA with PrimaLuceLab 168mm PLUS support rings, 240mm PLUS Losmandy bar and ZWO EAF electronic automatic focuser.

The telescope includes the installation and the backlash compensation that we measured and saved in the memory of the ZWO EAF focuser.

The Takahashi Epsilon 130-ED is an ultra-fast widefield astrograph with a flat-field design for serious astrophotography. Featuring a hyperbolic primary mirror and integrated corrector, the Epsilon 130ED provides very good correction over a 44mm image circle, with stars at the edge of the field being less than 10 microns in size.

The Epsilon 130ED is equipped with a precise rack and pinion focuser with camera angle adjuster for easy framing of targets. This bundle also includes the ZWO EAF electronic automatic focuser with adapter for the 130ED.

The Epsilon 130ED has a native focal length of 430mm and a focal ratio of f/3.3, making it the perfect instrument for imaging of large nebulae and star clusters. 

Despite its photographic focus, the Epsilon doubles as an exceptional wide-field visual telescope, thanks to its fine optical correction. Collimation is straightforward with markings on each mirror and the included collimation eyepiece, allowing adjustment during the daytime.

The PLUS Kit also includes PrimaLuceLab 168mm PLUS support rings and 240mm Losmandy-style PLUS dovetail bar. 

Each component of the PLUS system is carved from aluminium blocks with CNC machines. Then, the aluminium is sandblasted to achieve a very smooth surface finish and it is anodized (hard anodizing) to increase the hardness of the material and to protect it from oxidation.
