The QHY Ar III (Argon III) filter is a narrowband filter centred around 713nm, designed to be installed directly into the built-in filter wheel of the QHY miniCAM8 imaging camera.
The filter allows to capture the specific emission line of triply ionized argon which is commonly observed in planetary nebulae, H-II regions, emission-line galaxies, and in the spectroscopy of ionized gases in laboratory plasmas.
