The Prime Luce Lab Observatory Dovetail Clamp is 280mm long and features 4 locking clamps to securely lock very large and heavy telescopes.

Prima Luce Lab dovetail clamps have the advantage to offer a dual connection for Vixen and Losmandy bars so you will be able to connect any telescope or accessory. In combination with specific adapters, the clamp can be installed on several mounts such as the SkyWatcher EQ8 with the advantage of a professional Prima Luce Lab dovetail clamp.

It belongs to the PLUS system (Prima Luce Universal System) that includes a large variety of telescope rings, bars, guide rings and dovetail clamps. The clamp has a system of drilled and threaded holes that maximize the compatibility between each other allowing several combinations.

Each component of the PLUS system is carved from aluminium blocks that are CNC machined. Then, the aluminium is sandblasted to achieve a very smooth surface finish and it is anodized (hard anodizing) to increase the hardness of the material and to protect it from oxidation.

Due to its particular design, the PLUS dual dovetail clamp can be installed on different configurations:

  • By using 2 clamps you can build a side-by-side system on the same PLUS Losmandy or Vixen bar. This allows to connect two telescopes in parallel with the advantage to lower the barycenter and therefore reduce the counterweights needed
  • The clamp can be connected between the Eagle control units and another telescope with a dovetail bar
  • It can be installed on mounts instead of the original clamp.
