FLI REVELATION RV411 [MONO]

The FLI Revelation RV411 Mono is a high performance cooled monochrome astronomy camera using the Sony IMX411 CMOS sensor with a resolution of 14192 × 10640 pixels at 3.76μm. The massive 66.7mm diagonal field of view is a perfect match for long focal length telescopes such as PlaneWave CDKs and RCs.

Like all FLI cameras, the RV411 is designed for 24/7 operation, making it ideal for professional remote observatories where reliability is paramount. The Revelation series features the same technology as the Aurora cameras but in a more compact, slim design, ideal for integration into system with strict space constraints.

This latest generation of Sony back-illuminated sensors are natively 16-bit with exceptional sensitivity, full-well capacity, extremely low read noise and linear response to light. With a peak quantum efficiency of 90% and large dynamic range of 93.6dB, the RV411 excels at deep sky imaging of faint targets.

The CMOS sensors found in these cameras have a response to light that is linear very close to the saturation point. This means the Revelation series cameras can be used for advanced research and scientific applications like variable star photometry and transiting exoplanets.

The regulated thermoelectric air cooler is capable of cooling the CMOS sensor to approximately 50°C below ambient temperature. The sensor temperature is regulated with ±0.1 °C precision. High temperature reduction and precision regulation ensure very low dark current for long exposures and allow proper image calibration. Revelation series cameras are also plumbed for liquid circulation, further increasing cooling capabilities (external liquid circulation connectors sold separately).

The USB 3.0 port operates at 5 Gbps while the QSFP fibre optic connections allow for even faster transfer rates and electrical isolation.
