The FLI Kepler DC23084 Mono is a high performance cooled monochrome astronomy camera using the Teledyne e2v CCD230-84-1-145 midband back-illluminated CCD sensor with a resolution of 4096 x 4096 pixels at 15μm. The massive 86.8mm diagonal field of view and large pixels make it an ideal match for long focal length telescopes such as PlaneWave CDKs and RCs.

The KL-DC23084's giant pixels, field of view and low noise make it an exceptional choice for critical low-light imaging applications. Like all FLI cameras, the KL-DC23084 is designed for 24/7 operation, making it ideal for professional remote observatories where reliability is paramount.
The KL-DC23084 is available with or without a mechanical shutter. With a peak quantum efficiency of 96%, large full well capacity of 150,000e- and dynamic range of 79.7dB, the KL-DC23084 is one of the most sensitive cameras on the market.

The regulated thermoelectric air cooler is capable of cooling the CMOS sensor to approximately 60°C below ambient temperature. The sensor temperature is regulated with ±0.1 °C precision. High temperature reduction and precision regulation ensure very low dark current for long exposures and allow proper image calibration. Kepler series cameras are also plumbed for liquid circulation, further increasing cooling capabilities (external liquid circulation connectors sold separately).
The KL-DC23084 features a USB 3.0 port for fast image transfers, with 500 kHz and 2 MHz per channel digitization rates at 16-bits. Depending on imaging mode, 1 or 4 readout circuits can be selected.
