The Dwarf Draco is the most sophisticated Dwarf smart telescope yet, with a cooled rotating CMOS sensor, fast 90mm f/3.8 optics and built-in guiding capabilities. At only 5.5kg with a 5-hour battery life, the Draco is the ideal portable observatory for the traveling astrophotographer.

The Draco features a 23.3mm full-frame equivalent wide-angle lens and 1200mm equivalent telephoto optics, allowing you to capture the milky way, star trails and sweeping landscapes, as well as faint nebulae and galaxies.

The 1/1.3" sensor has a massive 50 megapixel resolution with tiny 1.2μm pixels, giving exceptional detail on the Sun, Moon and even the larger planets. In deep sky mode, the sensor is 2x2 binned, resulting in 2.4μm pixels at 12 megapixels for a greater signal-to-noise ratio to tease out faint structures.

Unlike other smart telescopes on the market, the Draco's image sensor can physically rotate to perfectly frame the desired object. Built-in guiding and field de-rotation allows up to 300 second single frame exposures with minimal star trailing.

High precision transmission with fine microstepping control ensures stable and responsive tracking. The optical tube moves as needed and follows smoothly, helping reduce vibration and backlash so stars stay tight during long exposures.

Built-in CMOS cooling reduces thermal noise to a minimum for cleaner images. Waste heat is directed to warm the lens, preventing dew from forming on the optics. From -20°C winter nights to 45°C summer heat, Draco runs steadily, protecting every frame from capture to final image.

The Draco's all-metal base fits securely onto the included aluminium-alloy tripod, forming a rigid, unified structure that stays stable in Equatorial Mode. No additional equatorial mount is required. Simply follow the in-app guidance to adjust Draco to the correct angle and complete the setup, providing greater stability for long exposures and multi-frame stacking.

The Dwarf Draco is available in two different filter configurations:

Standard Edition - includes built-in broadband, 13nm Ha + OIII, dark-frame and Solar ND filters.

SHO Edition - includes all the filters of the Standard edition plus a 13nm SII + OIII filter, allowing you to combine the three narrowband wavelengths to create stunning "Hubble palette" deep sky images. Unlike the Standard edition, the Solar ND filter is externally mounted.

In Auto Mode, Draco intelligently adjusts settings for each target. Switch to Pro Mode for full control over exposure, gain, filters, and more. With exposure times from 1/10000s to 300s, you have the flexibility to capture different targets and explore more creative possibilities.

Draco comes with built-in flat and bias calibration data and automatically captures dark frames in real time. During live stacking, calibration is applied automatically to reduce thermal noise, vignetting, dust shadows, and read noise. You choose what to capture. From pointing to imaging, Draco handles the rest.

The DWARFLAB App puts essential astrophotography editing tools right at your fingertips, including auto enhancement, star correction, noise reduction, star reduction, star removal, star extraction, star spikes, watermarks and Hubble Palette effect, and give every image a look of your own. If you prefer your own workflow, the Draco lets you export the raw FITS files for processing in external software like PixInsight.

With DWARFLAB’s official PhotonLink remote service, you can control Draco from anywhere through the app. You can also invite friends to control it with you and share the fun of astrophotography. Connect to wired Ethernet via USB for greater connection stability and more efficient data transfer, making Draco better suited for long-term remote deployment.

Mosaic mode lets you extend your field of view by 1.8x in both width and height, with automatic stitching giving a single wider image.
