The Celestron Smart DewHeater 2x is an advanced two-channel dew heater controller that uses realtime data to provide enough heat to prevent dew forming on your optics.

The Smart Control system monitors the ambient outside temperature and humidity and automatically adjusts power to the dew heaters, using just enough power to keep the optics above the dew point while maximizing battery life.

 

 

Natively compatible with Celestron Dew Heater Rings as well as third-party dew straps with the optional thermistor accessory. Two heaters can be connected plus one 12V DC device such as a cooled camera or mount (7 amps max output).

The durable metal housing and integrated cooling fan protects the electronics even when dew is heavy. The built-in saddle clamps securely to Celestron CG-5 and CGE dovetails. An additional strap is included allowing the controller to be strapped to a tripod leg.

 

 

The Smart DewHeater can be controlled using your Celestron telescope's hand controller as well as CPWI software, allowing you to make manual adjustments and view dew data.
