BAADER U-VENUS FILTER 350nm
Baader Planetarium
BAADER U-VENUS FILTER 350nm - 1¼" is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The Baader U-Venus filter is a 60nm narrowband photographic filter designed for imaging in the ultraviolet part of the spectrum between 320 - 380nm. When paired with a camera that is sensitive in this region (such as the ZWO ASI178MM), this allows you to capture cloud structures in the atmosphere of Venus. This is particularly useful when using lucky imaging techniques with telescope larger than 5 - 8" in diameter. The filter completely blocks the rest of the spectrum from 200 - 1120nm.
The optical surface is fine-optically polished so that there is no loss of sharpness at high magnifications, even when the filter is positioned far in front of the focal point. The filter is made from a Schott UG-11 substrate with "super stacked" dielectric coatings for pure transmission.
Available in 1.25" and 2" mounted. The filter cell is threaded on both ends so that multiple filters can be stacked. All Baader filters (excluding 100 x 100mm) come in stackable labelled filter boxes which can be attached to each other to form a sturdy filter library.
