The Baader FFB FlatFieldBox 1250mm is a professional  flat panel designed specifically for large aperture telescopes and observatories. Its innovative design provides an extremely uniform light distribution across the entire panel, regardless of external light conditions.

Thanks to the inclusion of WRGB LEDs, brightness between different filters can be precisely compensated for, ensuring accurately calibrated flat frames even with colour sensors and dual-band filters.

The Baader FFB comes equipped with an integrated dimmer, allowing fine adjustment of brightness for individual colour channels to optimize exposure times, without introducing any flickering. Exposure times can be as little as 1ms, while longer times of several seconds are recommended for best results with CMOS sensors.

The FFB can be controlled remotely via a simple web interface over LAN. Multiple mounting options are provided, allowing the panel to be installed inside rotating domes, on walls or placed on tables. The sturdy frame made of 30mm Minitech profiles ensure optimum durability and torsion-resistant installation.

Four different sizes are currently available - 450mm, 650mm, 850mm and 1250mm. When mounted in rotating domes, we recommend choosing an FFB 50mm larger than that you would choose for static installations, as shown in the below table:
