BAADER FCCT I TO FCCT II EXPANSION KIT FOR QHY 268 / 294

This converts the Baader FCCT version I to the version II, allowing you to use it with QHY cameras with 90mm diameter such as the 268 (MONO only), 294 and 533.

The Baader FCCT Filter Changer and Tilter is an all-in-one filter drawer system for the Celestron RASA 8" and QHY cameras. The integrated tilting mechanism allows quick and painless adjustment of the field in order to get perfect stars edge to edge.

As the RASA 8" has extremely limited backfocus, only some QHY cameras can be used. Additionally, the FCCT is only compatible with unmounted filters. Two different assemblies are available depending on what which camera you would like to connect:

• FCCT I - QHY cameras with 77mm diameter - 174, 163, 183
• FCCT II - QHY cameras with 90mm diameter - 268 (MONO only - version before the June 2023 revision with the new faceplate), 294, 533

Update June 2023: Note on the FCCT II for QHY268M Mono Camera:

The QHY268M mono camera with new position of the heating board (hotplate was raised by QHY by about 5mm) is unfortunately NOT compatible anymore with the Baader FCCT II.

Mechanically, an adaptation of the FCCT II to the new version of the QHY268M is still possible, but due to the adaptation of the heating plate, the backfocus in connection with the FCCT II has shifted by 5 mm. Thus, the optical backfocus can no longer be maintained. Baader are currently working on an FCCT III to ensure compatibility with the QHY268M again. The previous version of the QHY268M (before June 2023) is still compatible with the FCCT II.

Various 3D-printed filter holders (sold separately) are available for 31mm, 36mm and Baader's 47.4mm (essentially unmounted 2") filters. Due to the small amount of backfocus of the RASA 8", regular mounted 1.25" and 2" filters cannot be used. For the larger 11" and 36cm RASA models which have more backfocus available, we recommend the Baader UFC system instead.
