BAADER CLICKLOCK EXPANDER FROM 1.25" TO 2"

The Baader ClickLock© System is a precise accessory clamp without locking screws. The eyepiece, diagonal or accessory used is held without the inconvenience of the thumbs screws which causes tilt and therefore changes the collimation of the optical system.

This expander from 1.25" to 2" fits on 1.25" barrels and holds 2" accessories. On the telescope side there is an M28.5 thread which allows you to attach any 1.25" mounted filter. The 1.25" barrel can be removed to expose a T2 female thread, which can also be removed to reveal a female 2" Schmidt-Cassegrain thread. 

Standard eyepiece holders use thumb screws to hold the accessory in place. While tightening, these screws turn the accessory and therefore alter the collimation. You can notice this effect with a laser collimator: the more you tighten the thumb screws, the more the laser dot will move across the mirror. If you repeat this test, the laser dot will move to another position so the collimation can never be precise. 

The Baader ClickLock secures your 2" accessories using its clamping system that holds the part at three sides, thus not introduces tilting movements.

Make sure you double check the optical length of the Baader Clicklock before you purchase, in case the extra space puts the focal point to far out. This is especially important for Newtonians where space is limited.
