ASKAR FMA180 EAF KIT

The Askar FMA180 EAF Kit allows you to install the ZWO EAF electronic focuser beneath the FMA180 Pro. With this kit, you will be able to fully utilize the FMA180 for automated astrophotography with remote autofocusing.

Note: This kit only includes the mounting hardware, NOT the FMA180 Pro or ZWO EAF.

Included items

• Synchronous pulley with locking screws
• 2 x M6 x 8 socket head cap screws
• 4 x M4 x 8 button head screws
• Allen wrenches are NOT included

Installation

1. Remove the original Vixen dovetail plate and finder base from the FMA180 Pro.

2. Use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to connect the new bracket to the FMA180 Pro using the two M4 x 8 button head screws. There is a slot in the base of the bracket which will allow you to pass these through to the telescope.

3. Use a 1.2mm Allen wrench to connect the synchronous pully to the EAF using the two M3 x 2 locking screws. Place the EAF into the bracket.

4. Install the synchronous belt with on end around the front focusing ring of the FMA180 and the other end around the pulley.

5. Adjust the position of the EAF so that the belt is tight then fix the EAF in place using the two remaining M4 x 8 button head screws.

6. Reconnect the Vixen dovetail plate with the two M6 x 8 socket head cap screws. You're finished!
