Baader Solar Viewer Eclipse Glasses are made with AstroSolar OD 5.0 silver/gold film for safe naked-eye observation of the sun. These German-made and ISO/CE-certified glasses are perfect for watching the partial phase of solar eclipses or sunspot clusters. 

The optical density of OD 5.0 means they block 99.999% of all sunlight, along with providing 100% UV and IR protection. This lets you observe the sun comfortably without unwanted heating up of your eyeballs. 

AstroSolar Silver/Gold safety film has no added treatments to attain fine-optical properties necessary for high magnification work. It is not suited to being used in combination with telescopes, binoculars, spotting scopes or camera lenses.
