BAADER M68 TILTER
Baader Planetarium
BAADER M68 TILTER is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The Baader M68 Tilter is allows for extremely precise tuning of the image plane with between 0 - 1° of tilt adjustment. Unlike most tilters available, the Baader tilters have three sets of screws on the outer side of the unit, so you do not have to fiddle with shortened allen keys in cramped configurations.
The M68 Tilter is low profile at only 9.75 - 10.50mm optical length, so can be used with fast optics which do not have much backfocus space available. It has male M68 x 1 threads on one end and female M68 x 1 threads on the other.
The Baader M68 Tilter is designed so that if removed from the optical train, the adjustment is retained. This means you can swap the unit and camera train onto different telescopes with ease. The large aperture and heavy weight capacity of 5kg make this perfect for full-frame imaging setups.
All the components that are used in the M68 & UFC Tilters are produced in-house at Baader's own machine shop in Mammendorf, Germany. This is in order to reach the necessary highest level of precision, to be able to adjust any corner of the chip in a backward/forward direction with ZERO lateral play during the adjustment procedure.
