SHARPSTAR SCA310 SUPER CASSEGRAIN ASTROGRAPH F/3.8

The Sharpstar SCA310 is an Aspherical Cassegrain astrograph with an ultra-fast focal ratio of f/3.8 and a focal length of 1178mm.

This telescope features a 310mm aspherical primary mirror made of borosilicate glass while the secondary is made of fused silica, giving exceptional thermal stability. The enhanced aluminium mirror coating ensures a reflectivity of over 95%. 

The optical path includes a triplet air-spaced 3" field flattener with one ED glass element, resulting in a large 55mm image circle, making it suitable for medium format sensors.

The heavy duty rack & pinion 3.5" focuser ensures smooth operation without slipping and the high capacity for accessories. With a backfocus of 38 - 66mm, a wide range of imaging accessories can be attached. Like other corrected Cassegrain designs, as long as the image sensor in in this focus range, you're good to go.

The M68 x 1, M54×0.75 and M48×0.75 threads at the rear of the focuser can meet different needs, are convenient to connect to most commercially available imaging-terminal and achieve perfect focus.

The optical tube is made of carbon fibre with CNC-machined aluminium parts for enhanced structural rigidity and durability, and features three cooling fans at the rear to rapidly cool the primary mirror.
