The QHY411M Pro is an ultra-high-resolution scientific camera designed for astronomical, optical, and laboratory applications requiring extremely detailed images. Equipped with a medium-format (54 × 40 mm) monochrome, back-illuminated (BSI) Sony IMX411 CMOS sensor, this camera delivers a stunning 150 Megapixel resolution (14304 x 8750 pixels), with a 3.76 µm pixel size and a native 16-bit ADC.
Thanks to its BSI architecture, the sensor maximizes quantum efficiency (QE), reaching up to 90% at its peak. The large 2GB DDR3 memory buffer that ensures stable data transfer, avoiding data loss during high-volume acquisitions.
It is optimized for deep-sky astrophotography, precision scientific imaging, and professional documentation tasks. It offers support for special capture modes such as Extended Full Well and High Gain, allowing the camera to be adjusted to maximize full-well capacity or reduce read noise according to the user's needs.
Its design includes a hermetic seal with anti-condensation technology, a heating system to prevent frost on the optical window.
This camera represents the latest in CMOS sensors for astronomy and science, positioning itself as a tool of choice in observatories and laboratories around the world.
For regular use, USB 3.0 ensures compatibility and convenience. For ultra-fast data acquisition—especially with large image files—2 x 10GB interface allows direct high-speed transfer to the host system, minimizing latency and buffering.
The built-in dual-stage thermoelectric cooler allows sensor temperatures to drop up to -35°C below ambient, significantly reducing dark current and enhancing image quality in long exposures. Optional liquid cooling kit is available - contact us for more information.
