The QHY PCIE Grabber Card provides dual 10Gb fibre connections, enabling rock-solid reliable data transmission up to 300 metres.
Compatible with professional and scientific QHY cameras such as the QHY600 Pro I & II, QHY461, QHY411, QHY4040, and others which are equipped with 2 x 10GB fibre interfaces.
Unlike USB 3.0 found on many cameras, fibre offers far greater range and speeds while being impervious to electromagnetic interference. For example, the maximum range of active (powered) USB 3 cables is up to 15 metres. Without an active connection, this reduces to 2-3 metres. By contrast, fibre can extend up to 300 metres without any reduction in speed or reliability.
USB 3.0 is limited to a transfer rate of not much more than 300 Mb/s, whereas 10Gb fibre reaches up to 2000 Mb/s via the two 10Gb SFP interfaces.
