WANDERER ULTIMATE CABLE MASTER - CROSS SPIKE

The WandererAstro Ultimate Cable Master - Cross Spike version solves one of the most common problems faced by RASA and Hyperstar owners. By integrating a USB hub with a DC power port into a cross-spike spider assembly, cables no longer interfere with the light path of the telescope.

As a result, images are sharper and have well-defined and symmetric diffraction spikes which rival those of premium Newtonian telescopes. The ultra-thin 1.6mm PCB spans the entire optical path, cleanly routing data and 12V power (up to 3A) to an identical set of output ports at the edge of the frame.

The spider can be adjusted fore/aft and left/right for precise diffraction spike alignment. Two bracket lengths are included to support different camera body lengths and to accommodate the differing backfocus requirements of RASA and Hyperstar systems. Short USB and DC cables are also included.

The bracket can be non-destructively installed and is fully compatible with the original Celestron dew shield and dew heater ring, along with most third-party dew shields.

Available in different sizes to suit 6", 8", 11" and 36cm RASA models. 11"/14"/36cm OTA brackets include one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports and one 12V DC port. The brackets for the smaller 6"/8" OTAs feature two USB 2.0 ports and one 12V DC port.

Note: From an optical standpoint, the Cross Spike Version introduces minimal obstruction and can deliver slightly sharper images. If you do not like diffraction spikes, or if you need to rotate the CAA very often, the Spike-Free Version is the better choice. However, unlike a refractor, residual diffraction artifacts may still be visible in bright stars due to factors such as stress in the Schmidt corrector plate, although the results are significantly cleaner than with traditional solutions.
