The Baader M48 Male to M42 Female adapter (AKA Reducing Piece M48a / T2i) has a male M48 x 0.75 thread on one side and a female M42 x 0.75 (T2) thread on the other. It can be used to convert accessories with M48 female threads to M42 female threads, such as changing an M48 wide T-ring to M42.

Does the job well

The Bader adapter M48 male - M42 female did the job of joining and aligning two different sized components. The ring itself is quiet narrow but has a solid sturdy feel, it is easy to use with both the different size threads fitting perfectly and going smoothly together
