The FLI MicroLine ML4710BI Mono is a high performance cooled monochrome astronomy camera using the Teledyne e2v CCD47-10 back-illluminated CCD sensor with a resolution of 1024 x 1024 pixels at 13μm. The 18.8mm diagonal field of view and large pixels make it an ideal match for long focal length telescopes such as PlaneWave CDKs and RCs.

The ML4710BI is available with different sensor types to suit a variety of applications:
- ML4710MB - back-illuminated sensor with standard midband coating.
- ML4710DD - back-illuminated sensor on deep depletion silicon giving high QE across visible and near-IR wavelengths.
- ML4710AM - back-illuminated sensor on deep depletion silicon with enhanced multilayer coating.
- ML4710UV - back-illuminated sensor on deep depletion silicon with enhanced coatings for UV imaging.
The ML4710's giant pixels, field of view and low noise make it an exceptional choice for critical low-light imaging applications. Like all FLI cameras, the ML4710 is designed for 24/7 operation, making it ideal for professional remote observatories where reliability is paramount.
The ML4710 is available with a 25mm mechanical shutter as standard. With a peak quantum efficiency of up to 96%, large full well capacity of 100,000e- and dynamic range of 79.7dB, the ML4710BI is one of the most sensitive cameras on the market.

The regulated thermoelectric air cooler is capable of cooling the CMOS sensor to approximately 60°C below ambient temperature. The sensor temperature is regulated with ±0.1 °C precision. High temperature reduction and precision regulation ensure very low dark current for long exposures and allow proper image calibration.
MicroLine series cameras are also plumbed for liquid circulation, further increasing cooling capabilities (external liquid circulation connectors sold separately). Additionally, an optional copper heatsink option is available for improved cooling efficiency.
The ML4710BI features a USB 2 port for fast image transfers, with 700 kHz and 2 MHz digitization rates at 16-bits.
