FLI KEPLER KL400FI [MONO] - No Shutter / Grade 1 is not in stock but it can be backordered.

The FLI Kepler KL400FI Mono is a high performance cooled monochrome astronomy camera using the front-illuminated Gsense400 sCMOS sensor with a resolution of 2048 x 2048 pixels at 11μm. The 31.9mm diagonal field of view and large pixels make it an ideal instrument for a wide variety of applications such as long focal length astrophotography, fluorescence microscopy exoplanet research and photocell inspection.

The sensor found in the FLI Kepler KL400FI does not have microlenses, eliminating the hard-to-remove diffraction patterns found on cameras which do have microlenses. Like all FLI cameras, the KL400FI is designed for 24/7 operation, making it ideal for professional remote observatories where reliability is paramount.

Kepler series cameras are available with Gsense sCMOS front- or back-illuminated sensors with or without mechanical shutters. With a peak quantum efficiency of 58% and large dynamic range of 96dB, the KL400FI is a highly versatile camera for astronomy and life sciences.

The regulated thermoelectric air cooler is capable of cooling the CMOS sensor to approximately 45°C below ambient temperature. The sensor temperature is regulated with ±0.1 °C precision. High temperature reduction and precision regulation ensure very low dark current for long exposures and allow proper image calibration. Kepler series cameras are also plumbed for liquid circulation, further increasing cooling capabilities (external liquid circulation connectors sold separately).

The USB 3.0 port operates at 5 Gbps while the optional QSFP fibre optic connections allow for even faster transfer rates and electrical isolation. Some Kepler models provide a single 12-bit readout mode, while others are capable of 16-bit HDR dual-readout modes, where two 12-bit images are merged using FLI's proprietary algorithms to create an exceptionally linear 16-bit image.
