The Meade 16" f/10 LX200 ACF Schmidt-Cassegrain utilizes Meade’s award-winning Advanced Coma-Free™ (ACF™) optics and Ultra-High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) for high contrast, sharp images and views. With the appropriate mount, the 16" f/10 is a powerful high resolution planetary imaging and visual powerhouse.



Testar's 16" LX200 mounted on a 10 Micron GM2000 and configured for high resolution planetary imaging.


The 16" OTA employs an f/10 optical system with diffraction-limited optics and high-contrast baffling that provides an impressively flat field, ideal for wide angle eyepieces. The low-expansion oversized primary mirror delivers extra aperture and prevents thermal expansion of the mirror.



The 16" LX200 features an internal single-speed focusing system that provides smooth, precise focusing at any magnification. Like all LX200 models, the 16" features a primary mirror locking mechanism, which prevents movement of the primary mirror during long exposures. Includes precision machined Losmandy-style dovetail rail mated to the tube with wide-stance radius blocks for rock-steady mounting, and front and rear dust covers.
