BAADER GLASSPATH CORRECTOR 1.7x FOR NEWTONIANS - 2"

The Baader 2" 1.7x Glasspath Corrector for Newtonians is designed for use with the MaxBright II and Mark V Binoviewers and acts as a full aperture coma corrector. It features a Zeiss dovetail ring and M42 x 0.75 threads on one end for direct adaption to the binoviewer. The telescope side is a standard 2" (50.8mm) barrel with an internal M48 x 0.75 filter thread.

Unlike a Barlow lens, this corrects the prismatic colour fringing introduced by the additional optical elements of the binoviewer's prisms.  

It also moves the focal point significantly, adding approximately 80mm of focus. This is necessary for Newtonian telescopes which have limited backfocus.
