The Avalon Instruments T-Pod MAX is an extremely heavy duty tripod for very large mounts and telescopes. Weighing only 12 kg, it has a massive loading capacity of 200 kg. When collapsed it is only 99 cm high but it can be extended up to 130 cm. The T-Pod MAX continues Avalon's tradition of ultra high quality and portable equipment, and is made entirely from anodized aluminium with stainless steel hardware.
The built-in spreader system allows the tripod to be quickly and easily opened with no loose parts. The double leg locks and the bubble level makes the levelling procedure easy. The base of the legs can be fitted with ground spikes for soft ground or rubber tips for hard surfaces. In addition, the tripod is equipped with a convenient handle for easy transport.
The T-pod Max is compatible with several mounts of the following brands: 10 Micron (with pier adapter flange), Losmandy, iOptron, Vixen, Celestron, Takahashi, Skywatcher, T-rex and more. On depending on the mount model, the compatibility may be native or through the use of an adapter.
The tripod is supplied with a padded carrying bag.
