The Testar Dew Heater Power Regulator allows you to finely adjust the power of dew heater straps. Differently to any other standard regulator, this has an RCA connector that matches the common jack of dew heaters, dew shield and mirror heaters.
The regulator can be powered by any 12 - 24V DC power source with a 5.5 - 2.1 port.
Dew heaters are popular and effective devices to prevent dew condensation on lenses or mirrors. An excessive heating power however will deteriorate the image of the telescope. With a dimmer you can prevent dew formation and at the same time prevent the optics from heating up too much.
