Due to popular demand, Testar is now offering the popular Sky-Watcher HEQ5 Pro Dual Saddle mount with the Rowan Belt Kit installed professionally by us. Note that this will add approximately 3 business days to the shipping time.

This Rowan belt kit replaces the factory spur gear drive train with timing belts. The pulley modification reduces the spur gear errors that are typical and it therefore reduces tracking errors. The belts also make slewing much more quiet eliminating the 'grinding' noise that the standard spur gears produce. The pulley ratio is the same as the factory gears. This means all Synscan functions will operate as before. 

The Sky-Watcher HEQ5 Pro Dual Saddle Mount is a portable mount for visual observers and professional astrophotographers who want a solid and reliable solution with a payload of up to 14kg. 

With a mount head weight of 10kg this professional mount is ideal to be carried anywhere in search of dark skies and solar eclipses. The integrated bubble level and the adjustable tripod legs make the leveling easy. The azimuth and altitude axis can be adjusted for a precise polar alignment (polar scope included).

The HEQ5 is compatible with the Ascom drivers but also allows to guide with the ST4 protocol. The periodic error can be reduced through the PPEC (Permanent Periodic Error Correction). 

Available with either SynScan hand controller or Wi-Fi adapter for smartphone or computer control instead of the hand controller.

The dual dovetail saddle can hold Vixen bars but also Losmandy bars.
