GEOPTIK MULTILAYERS TELESCOPE COVER

So far I have used my large cover just in my backyard. I have been quite pleased with its performance, keeping temperatures from climbing much above ambient, and shielding from dust and pollens.

It's a well-made cover. There are two layers, the outer one reflective, and the inner one semi-transparent. Both are made of heavy-duty plastic sheet that seem quite durable, and so far, have resisted snagging and tearing on less-than-blunt corners. It has survived some moderate winds without visible damage. I would recommend it if you need to leave your gear set up during daylight hours.

I purchased the Geoptik scope cover to attend a multiday club event at Boondooma Homested in southern Queensland, knowing the daytime temperatures were going to be in the mid 30's I didn't want my C11 CPC to cook in the midday sun, the scope cover worked a treat, we placed a thermometer inside the cover to see how effective the insulation worked, outside ambient temperature was 36 C, inside only 1 degree warmer at 37C.
Highly recommended.

I left mine out doors since I bought it 2 months ago. Covered my RASA8 and photographic equipment. It’s light weight though so no sure how long it will last. I tore it down with a bungee cord

Quite robust and effective in protecting precious gear. Suits my setup as I need to store it in a dusty environment. I wouldn’t use it as an outdoor cover for extended periods though. Looks impressive!
