The new iOptron SkyHunter AZ is an ultra-portable GO-TO Equatorial/Alt-Azimuth mount designed for serious astrophotography with small telescopes. The AZ version does not include the equatorial wedge and is ideal for quick and easy visual observation while travelling.

Incredibly lightweight at only 1.3kg and with a payload of 5kg, the SkyHunter is the one of the most capable compact travel mounts on the market.

The SkyHunter features dual-axis servomotors with optical encoders and synchronous belt transmission for accurate tracking. Four tracking rates are available for sidereal, Lunar/Solar and nightscapes.

The built-in Wi-Fi adapter allows for control via ASCOM, INDI and Sky Safari, as well as with iOS or Android smartphones and tablets. The SkyHunter has an internal rechargeable Li-Poly battery for all-night operation at remote imaging sites.
