It complies with the applicable transmittance requirements of \u003cstrong\u003eEN ISO 12312-2:2015 \u003c\/strong\u003efor filters intended for direct observation of the sun.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe AstroSolar filters are suitable for \u003cstrong\u003esafe solar observation and photography\u003c\/strong\u003e with almost all telescopes and long telephoto lenses. They are available in a \u003cstrong\u003ehuge range of sizes\u003c\/strong\u003e to fit telescopes from 80 to 280mm in diameter. \u003cstrong\u003eVelcro safety straps\u003c\/strong\u003e and pads and \u003cstrong\u003elarge centering bolts with rubber grips\u003c\/strong\u003e are included to secure the filter to your telescope. The bolt slots have printed index scales to allow fast and repeatable adjustment. The cylinders can be positioned to clamp on the outside of your telescope tube (distance range in RED above) or on the inside of the tube with opposing force (in GREEN).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eThe number in the name of the filter (ie. ASTF 80mm) indicates the actual aperture of the filter material, not the diameter of the telescope lens\/mirror. For example, if you have an 80mm refractor, you need to measure the outer diameter of the telescope tube at the very front, which will be larger than 80mm.
