The QHY268M Kit 4 includes the following items:

The QHY 268M Monochrome contains the Sony IMX571, a high performance back illuminated cooled monochrome sensor with true 16-bit A/D. This translates to a dynamic range of 14 stops for vibrant and natural colours, even in faint or dark nebulae. The pixels have a size of 3.8 µm which is an excellent value for telescopes with different focal lengths.

This camera has a two-stage TEC cooling system that brings the temperature of the sensor 35/40C° below ambient for low noise imaging, even in warm climates. The QHY 268M has zero amplifier glow no matter how long the exposure is.
The QHY 268M employs a full anti-dew technology for both CCD sensor cover glass and the sensor chamber optical window. In order to avoid halos around bright stars, the QHY268M has an AR coated optical window on both sides rather than the common IR/UV cut window.

The QHY CFW3 Medium is a motorized filter wheel designed for 7 unmounted filters with a diameter of 36mm.
It uses a high quality ultra-thin hybrid stepper motor that compared to standard electrical motors, is more precise as it has a smaller stepper angle. The motor is enclosed to prevent dust from entering, thus improving reliability and the durability of the motor. The QHYCFW3 main body is CNC machined from a single piece of aluminium, sandblasted and anodized for a high quality finish.
All the QHY filter wheels have a female dovetail ring for the QHY cameras. Under this removable ring the CFW3 Medium filter wheel has a standard M54 x 0.75 female connection.

The Antlia LRGB series filters are specially designed for deep space photography with monochrome cameras. The strict manufacturing process and the quality control guarantees a tight tolerance of the filter thickness (± 0.05mm) which makes these filters parfocal.
Each filter is fully multi-coated to minimise internal reflections, halos around stars and to assure a high transmission which is above 95%. To even further enhance the contrast, reduce the glare and internal reflections, Antlia applies edge-blackening coating on each filter.
Each filter cuts off the ultraviolet and infrared light so there is no need to use the L filter in combination with the colour filters. The design of these filters is optimised to cut out the typical yellow emission of the sodium and mercury lamps around 589nm.

The Antlia 3nm Pro Ultra Narrowband filters boost the contrast of emission nebulae and supernova remnants for professional results, even under a bright sky affected by light pollution.
The 3nm  band pass is only 1% of the entire visible spectrum increasing the signal to noise ratio delivering high contrast images and extremely dark backgrounds. To even further enhance the contrast, and suppress the stray light and internal reflections, Antlia applies edge-blackening coating on each filter.
The maximum transmission is 88% - 90% and the transmission off band is only 0.1%. This is a value often undisclosed by other filter producers although it is critical to darken the sky background and minimise the halos around the stars.

QHY268m Review

I recently purchased the QHY268m kit 4, testar have great customer service and swift delivery, I can’t fault them.

I have to say I’m blown away by the capabilities of this combination. My trusty ccd now 12 years old has finally been replaced by my first dedicated CMOS Astro camera.

Kit four contains everything you need to get going, to get the dreaded backfocus spacing right etc. It comes shipped with a variety of spacers and adaptors to connect to your scope, pretty impressive.I added an OAG to my purchase that gives my a better guiding option with my set up. I was running Astrodon filters in my previous camera but have to say I’m more than impressed with the Antlia filters in this kit . They are superb . The camera side anti reflective coating really does help reduce halos. They compare very favourably to my Astrodons, I’d certainly recommend them.
I’ll include my first light pic with this camera
