The Player One small form factor Dwarf Planet series is designed for guiding and planetary imaging. The Ceres-M features Aptina's AR0130 1/3" monochrome CMOS sensor with a diagonal of 6mm, the same sensor as found in ZWO's popular ASI120MM and QHY's 5L-II-M. The AR0130's 3.75μm pixel size, full well depth of 18Ke- and 1.2MP resolution make it great for guiding with medium focal length telescopes such as Newtonians or large refractors.

With 256MB of DDR3 memory and USB3.0, the camera delivers a fast frame rate of up to 65FPS without frame dropping in RAW8 mode (with 10-bit ADC).

The Ceres-M camera can reach a low readout noise of 3.6e at a gain of 200.

Note: When recording images, since the actual writing speed will be affected by the writing speed of the hard disk itself, therefore it is recommended that you use a high-quality solid state drive to record data to give full play to the performance of the camera.

Player One's planetary and solar cameras feature DPS (Dead Pixel Suppression) technology. This is a sort of automatic dark frame subtraction of hot/stuck pixels which is performed in-camera.
