The new iOptron SkyHunter is an ultra-portable GO-TO Equatorial/Alt-Azimuth mount designed for serious astrophotography with small telescopes. Incredibly lightweight at only 1.3kg and with a payload of 5kg, the SkyHunter is the one of the most capable compact travel mounts on the market.
The SkyHunter features dual-axis servomotors with optical encoders and synchronous belt transmission for accurate tracking. Four tracking rates are available for sidereal, Lunar/Solar and nightscapes.
The built-in Wi-Fi adapter allows for control via ASCOM, INDI and Sky Safari, as well as with iOS or Android smartphones and tablets. The SkyHunter has an internal rechargeable Li-Poly battery for all-night operation at remote imaging sites.
