The Meade 12" f/8 ACF Schmidt-Cassegrain utilizes Meade’s award-winning Advanced Coma-Free™ (ACF™) optics and Ultra-High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) for high contrast, sharp images and views. With the appropriate mount, the 12" f/8 is the perfect tool for imaging of small galaxies and planetary nebulae.

The 12" OTA employs an f/8 optical system with diffraction-limited optics and high-contrast baffling that ensures crisp, pinpoint imaging to the very edge of the field. The low-expansion oversized primary mirror delivers extra aperture and prevents thermal expansion of the mirror.

Features an internal zero image shift Crayford-style focusing system with a two-speed 7:1 reduction control that provides smooth, precise focusing at any magnification. Includes precision machined Losmandy-style dovetail rail mated to the tube with wide-stance radius blocks for rock-steady mounting, and front and rear dust covers.
